About Us
Malaysian Society of Animal Production (MSAP) was formally established in 1971. Members of the society comprises personnel
and individuals from the government, semi-government and private organization with interest in animal production, either in research,
education, consultancy or associated with the practical and trading industries. All private and public organization and companies
involved in any aspect of animal production are eligible for corporate membership of the society.
The objectives of the Society are:
- To give due importance and status to the science and state of art of animal production as a profession in the country’s
agricultural and economic development
- To act as a body by and through which persons associated and/or interested in the general field of animal production
could meet to forge and establish social contact and a sense of mutual fellowship with each other
- To act as a body that would provide the opportunities for personal development of personnel involved and/or interested
in the field of animal production
- To act as a body that would represent all members, in matters related to their interests as professionals in this field
- To identify problems in various areas of animal production and to encourage investigations into these
- To encourage co-operation between science, education, extension and commerce in the field of animal production
- To encourage animal production and to stimulate the incorporation into practice of advances from research
