The theme of “Food Security Across Borders: Sustaining Livestock Production Post-Pandemic Era” for this year’s MSAP conference will aim to highlight issues encompassing food security through livestock production especially surrounding the Southeast Asia region. Prominent speakers from academics, officials and industry professionals will be featured, discussing the current and future outlook of the animal industry across borders in Asia, especially during the post-pandemic era.

All upcoming participants are invited to share their findings and knowledge through oral and poster presentations during the physical conference in the field of livestock production, food security, halal food, aquaculture, farm management, animal health and welfare, animal breeding and genetics, and animal biotechnology. Abstracts or/and full paper submission is *now open* through https://bit.ly/MSAP2022. All abstracts will be published in the conference’s e-proceedings which will be available at the 41st Malaysian Society of Animal Production Annual Conference (msap.my) microsite. Selected articles will be invited for publication in SCOPUS-indexed journals.

For registration and further enquiries, do visit https://www.msap.my/conference2022/. We hope to see you in Penang this coming October!

The state of Penang is located on the northwestern coastline of Peninsular Malaysia, with the state divided into Penang Island and also the mainland, named Seberang Perai. Georgetown is one of the districts located in Penang Island and has been regarded by many as the Silicone Valley of the East since the 1990s. The city has also been inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2008. Popular tourist attractions in Penang Island include the Batu Feringghi, Gurney Drive, Penang Hill, and the Penang Botanical Gardens. There are plenty of transportation modes on Penang Island, with the international airport located 16km from Georgetown, and also public transportations and e-hailings are plenty. There are also shared bike systems in the city and bike rentals available. We welcome all to Penang, a state rich in culture, history and cuisine, where the blend between heritage and urbanization is truly remarkable.
